Veterinary Dentistry in Grandview

Did you know the number one health problem affecting 80% of dogs and 70% of cats over the age of three is dental disease? This is according to the American Veterinary Dental Society (AVDS) and it’s because even those pet owners who practice regular preventative pet care, most do not brush their pet’s teeth. Poor oral health doesn’t just lead to dog or cat's having bad breath, it eventually leads to periodontal disease including oral pain, difficulty eating, tooth and bone loss, and can eventually lead to bacteria entering the blood stream of the pet and affecting distant organs such as the heart, kidneys and liver. If your dog or cat needs oral health addressed, Health and Harmony Animal Hospital of Grandview can help.

Veterinarian for dog and cat dentistry in Grandview, serving Victorian Village, German Village, Upper Arlington, and  Franklin County OhioDentistry in veterinary medicine isn't just about keeping your pets teeth white and mouth smelling good.  Many of our pets' suffer in silence from acute/chronic oral pain and systemic bacteria from periodontal disease, tooth fractures, tooth resorption, and many other oral conditions.  It is our team's goal to help you identify, stop, and prevent the pain and systemic side effects from these conditions for your pet.

Dental disease in cats can be compounded by other oral health issues, including feline oral resorptive lesions and feline stomatitis. These diseases can occur at a young age, so animal exams are critical to screen your cats for these diseases.
